Who is responsible?

As of this time, no responsibility has been declared, however since the incident occurred at XYZ Petro Corp’s Fauxville Facility XYZ Petro Corp is taking responsibility until a full investigation is concluded.

What happened?

On July 28, 2019 at 1PM local time, a valve experienced a sudden loss of mechanical control, and as a result approximately 3000 gallons of petrochemical substance overflowed tank C38A. Upon determining the valve as the root source, engineers immediately ceased flow into tank C38A and a backup remediation valve was put into operation to take over the function of the failed valve.

Should I be worried?

At this time, there is no known concern for the nearby community of Fauxville, for wildlife, or for our neighbor facilities. Boom has been placed on the water exit from our Fauxville facility to ensure no substance enters the waterway. A remediation and recovery team has been contracted to handle the cleanup efforts of our property.
